MCM Bird House & Feeder. Completed. Pictured together illustrating complementary color scheme.

The bird house - a classic “woodworking 101” build. It’s a bird house, not a palace, and simplicity is key. The feeder, equally unadorned, incorporates gentle angles and flat surfaces, with “floor to ceiling” glass (in this case, clear acrylic). Together, they evoke the quintessential features of Mid Century Modern design: simple, elegant, functional.

The bird house: classic MCM - unadorned utility.

The house is designed to mount via the back, attached to an exterior home wall, pole, or tree.

Both the top and bottom (acrylic) are easily removed for cleaning.

The feeder embodies MCM design with a large & flat top, clean lines, and wide panels of clear acrylic.

The center rectangular panel is removable and reveals a hole to fill the feeder with seed. The gasket is rubber to prevent leaks.

The top is completely removable - stainless steel eye hooks unscrew from brass thread inserts for cleaning and servicing.
