J ROBERT CLARK
Scientist | Designer | Maker
I design and build specialized equipment for wildlife reproductive science and conservation research.
My work supports assisted reproduction, gamete collection, and related applications by providing reliable, purpose-built systems for researchers, veterinarians, and conservation professionals.
Most systems are developed in direct collaboration with the people using them. Some are refinements of existing designs. Others are built from the ground up to meet specific biological and logistical challenges where standard equipment is not sufficient.
My background is in biology and molecular science, along with years of experience in conservation leadership and scientific communication. I have also been a maker for as long as I can remember, working at the intersection of art and science, design and fabrication. That perspective carries through my work today, where I build custom systems that integrate electronics, materials, and form to meet real-world constraints.
